Soccer Stars
Kudos go out to the US Woman’s Soccer team, who beat Brazil out for the Gold today in over-time, in probably the most exciting match I’ve ever watched. Why don’t they show more woman’s soccer on tv? For that matter why don’t they show more any kind of soccer on tv? I love watching it.

They don’t show soccer on TV because nobody watches it.

Hey, that’s harsh. Don’t be such a spoil sport, Eric. Clearly somebody watches it. And it’s more interesting than a boring pro football game, or pro basketball game. Soccer and Baseball are the only professional sports I can bear to watch. Everything else has become so hyped up with salaries and controversies and crap like that. If I had my way they would only show high school and college football and basketball on TV. And Baseball is quickly going the way of the rest. That’s one reason why I like soccer.
I know, here’s a good rule. They should only show a game on TV if both teams playing can prove that a) none of the players or coaches has ever been arrested for anything or made the papers with a scandal that was their own fault (including but not limited to: sex scandals, DUIs, getting into fights and injuring others, excessive partying, testing positive for drugs at the olympics, rape or murder investigations), and b) none of the players or coaches made more money than the average mechanical engineer.
