Scratch That.

So my normal Thanksgiving just got thrown out the window. My dad got violently ill tonight. Apparently he has the flu.

Fact: The three categories of people recommended for the flu vaccination are: the elderly, the children, and people with asthma or immunosupressive diseases.
Fact: I have asthma, but due to the shortage of flu vaccinations this year I couldn’t get one.
Fact: My dad was able to get one, and he still got the flu. So basically I have even less defenses than he did, and his weren’t good enough.
Fact: I tend to get everything that goes around.
Fact: I have to have surgery in two weeks, but if I’m sick, I won’t be able to have it. It must happen now, because it is the lsat chance for me to have it done before I go off my parents’ insurance in June. Once I go off their insurance it is anyone’s guess as to when I’ll be able to have the surgery done.

I know I should be glad to spend this time with my family, and I am, but frankly, I want to go back to Clifton. My mom says that is silly and I should just stay away from my dad. On a day that is all about cooking and eating? Fat chance.

Craziness!
