Still On My Soap Box
Remember a while back when I got all righteously indignant about blood diamonds? Yeah, well, I still am. Here are a couple of articles:

Now listen, I like diamonds as much as the next girl. But not at the cost of other peoples’ pain and misery.
And for those of you who aren’t innately world-minded and have some trouble understanding how it affects you and your country, check out this article on al Quaeda– it might bring things home for you.

The topic of engagement rings came up again over lunch today (a common occurrence when you live with five other Christian girls, four of whom are dating). Love you all. Peace out.

No, you still have to buy a diamond. The point is that you have to buy one from Canada or that has some other garuantee that it is not a blood diamond.
