According to them it is not so much the fact of having to raise money to go volunteer as it is the opportunity cost of the money I wouldn't be making while I was volunteering. Also, my inhalers are apparently really expensive and not covered by most basic insurance plans. I don't know, Jules. I prayed about it. And I prayed about going to D.C. and I prayed about staying here. And then it just sort of happened. How does any of this stuff work itself out? Maybe five years from now I'll understand more clearly. In the meantime I have to figure out where to go to grad school the fall after this.
