Welcome to the Butler County Fair
Ah, the county fair! For me, summer wouldn’t be summer without it, because I am a ten-year 4-H member and it was always a highlight of my summer. Tonight I went to my little sister’s award ceremonies and one of her project judgings. It was great to be back.
I want to go back sometime later this week. So, want to discover what a walking taco is? Make friends with a goat? Stand toe to toe with a steer or a draft horse? See Butler County’s finest produce? Check out guys in Wranglers? Look at quilts and jams and jellies made by adorable little old ladies? Go to a demolition derby, a rodeo, or a tractor pull? Eat pork burgers from the Butler County Pork Producers Association tent, and funnel cakes made by the next John Wentz? Let me know! It runs all this week, and I’d love to take people to see how I spent my summers growing up.

I miss the pork burgers! I love the pork burgers. And the slushi stand i’m still boycotting since they won’t give me a triple banana. And corn on the cob! And the booths and the Bake-in with lots of samples to eat! (hmmm. food, food, food, non-food, food)

LOL Ali and I were talking the other day about you and Andrew and how you always used to try to get us to go up to the slushi stand and order Banana, Banana, Banana! Stupid slushi stand.
