I appreciate your comments on Alex’s latest “Into the Mystic” post. Your response more accurately stated what I wanted to. I love missional, culturally relevant living. One thing that awaits outside though, is the danger of sacrificing truth’s integrity. I think finding relevant metaphors for the “good news” is very necessary. Jesus used appropriate metaphors often when he spoke with people: the woman at the well, he spoke of water. With an aging religious ruler, he spoke of being reborn. With a rich man, he spoke in terms of wealth.
Long story short, your response to much of the “feel good” comments was inspiring. Thanks for your clarity of thought and passion for God and his written word.
