I saw Sam Jackson on Ellen a couple of weeks ago (I know, I know, but it was midnight and we were looking for junk television to go with junk food) and he was talking about how he decided to do this film. “My agent told me the title. And I was, like, I don’t care *what* the script is like. I’m doing this movie!”
The trailer looks fantastically silly, I’m looking forward to it immensly. I have a feeling I probably won’t be catching it in-flight anywhere, though… Oh, and my film recommendation for the day, month and perhaps even the year is Inside Man. Which is an impressive piece on crime and punishment, racial hatred and sexism disguised as a slick heist movie. And it has one of the best ever Jodie Foster performances as, well, pretty much a bitch on heels.
